BRANCH

Branch is a design studio formed within the Department of Integrated Design at Tama Art University located in Tokyo, Japan. The department trains designers while allowing them the opportunity to work on hands-on projects. For each project, a team of designers is assembled to create innovative design solutions from a multidisciplinary perspective. Branch focuses on a variety of media, including art, space, product, graphic, screen and research.

Branch explores the relationship between people and the world around them, bringing real-world insights and experiences into the classroom. This dynamic approach to education encourages students to be more inquisitive and push the boundaries of design. For HAY, BRANCH created the Slant Table Lamp. The contemporary lamp features a bold, graphic form that is perfectly balanced for stability.
