Studio Shuu

Studio Shuu is a Munich-based product design studio founded by Limin Wang and Xiaoyi Lu. The duo established the studio after graduating from Pforzheim University in Transportation Design. Studio Shuu strives to unite opposites. From tradition and future, utility and sensitivity, and humans and the environment, their creations offer a twist on the familiar. Studio Shuu ensures that each of their products boasts a poetic simplicity, refining designs to their purist forms while preserving meaning and emotional resonance - fulfilling customers' requirements while redefining value, identity, and beauty.

Studio Shuu has collaborated with notable international brands. For KDLN, they created the Kooi Pendant, a contemporary luminaire inspired by the concept of Yin and Yang. The contrast between glass and metal, light and heavy, and black and white beautifully showcases the studio’s poetic approach to design.
