Louis Poulsen PH 2/1 Table Lamp

The Louis Poulsen PH 2/1 Table Lamp was designed by Poul Henningsen using his System PH principles from 1926. Its three mouth-blown opal glass shades follow a logarithmic spiral, with the light source positioned at the focal point to control glare and distribute soft, downward-directed light. The glass is polished on the outside and sandblasted on the inside, creating an even glow suited to bedside tables, desks, sideboards, and smaller living areas.

The PH 2/1 Table Lamp is available in Black Metallised, Brass Metallised, High Lustre Chrome Plated, Glossy Beige, Glossy Burgundy, Glossy Deep Blue, and Glossy Deep Green. The metallic versions use a brass frame, while the glossy colours use painted aluminium with a matching base and textile cable. A Louis Poulsen on/off switch is fitted to the cable, and the position of the light source can be adjusted within the shade system. The lamp is most suited to bedrooms, living rooms, hallways, home offices, and quiet seating areas where soft ambient light is needed.
