Marset Mercer Pendant Light
Marset Mercer Pendant Light pairs a transparent blown glass outer shade with a textile shade held inside it. The inner shade appears to sit within the glass rather than being fixed around the outside, giving the pendant a light, layered appearance. Designed by Joan Gaspar, the Mercer uses a simple, rounded form, but the mix of clear glass and fabric gives it more depth than a standard textile pendant.
The textile shade gives the Mercer its softer light, with the clear glass sitting around it as a neat outer shell. Natural Cotton Ribbon has a warmer, more tactile look, while Pearl White is cleaner and quieter. The Small size is useful where the pendant needs to sit closer to the room, such as beside a bed, in a hallway, or above a counter. The Large size is better suited to dining tables, living rooms, and reception areas where the fitting can take up a little more space.
The Mercer Pendant is hardwired, supplied with a black fabric electrical cord and white canopy, and is available in Small and Large sizes. The Large version includes an opal diffuser disc on the lower part of the shade, helping to soften the view of the lamps inside. Most suited to dining rooms, bedrooms, hallways, living rooms, and hospitality interiors where a textile pendant is needed, but with the added clarity and structure of glass.
