BRAND NEW, IN PERFECT CONDITION. BUT BOXED IN B-GRADE ORIGINAL PACKAGING.
1 x Poplar Wood Available.
Renowned designer Ferran Freixa designed the Nagoya suspension in the 1960s and chose to use poplar tree wood, a unique material cut into thin strips. Poplar is an abundant material, and the tree, which is soft and knot-free, is often found in river banks and wetlands, producing a white, flexible wood. The Nagoya was so successful that it won the first Golden Delta ADI-FAD award for best industrial design, in Barcelona, in 1961.
Decades later, the Nagoya pendant lamp remains elegant and refined and is a simple solution for any interior. The suspension has a 4m cable that needs to be plugged into a nearby socket, being quick and easy to install above dining areas or lounges in commercial or residential spaces.
