Formakami JH18 Table Lamp by &Tradition

This tabletop addition to the &Tradition Formakami collection is designer Jaime Hayon’s newest experiment with the form of the traditional paper lantern.

An inversion of his original JH3 pendant, Hayon’s latest features a cut-out in the top, rather than the bottom, allowing the JH18 table lamp to direct light upwards while also diffusing it around the room. His goal with the Formakami range was to create a series of lamps with both a light footprint – the JH18 is made from ivory white rice paper and weighs just a kilo – and a bright output, and this table lamp is a testament to his vision.
