The Flos Foglio collection began in 1966 when Tobia Scarpa designed the original Foglio Wall Light. Its name comes from the Italian word for 'sheet', a reference to the piece of metal that forms the curved shade. The two ends fold inwards to conceal the bulbs, allowing light to spread above and below the fitting. Foglio has remained part of the Flos catalogue for decades and is one of Scarpa's most recognisable lighting designs.
The collection was expanded in 2026 with the introduction of Foglio Small. At roughly 30% narrower than the original, it can be fitted in areas where a larger wall lamp might take up too much room. Foglio works well in hallways, bedrooms, and living rooms, with the option to install several along a wall or use a single fitting above a sideboard or beside a bed. The folded metal shade hides the bulbs from view, with light reaching the wall both above and below.
The Foglio collection is made from curved metal, with finishes including White, Black, Chrome, and Gold. The original Foglio is also available in Black Nickel, while the smaller version introduces Bronze. Both sizes use replaceable LED bulbs and can be dimmed with a compatible external dimmer. The choice of sizes and finishes makes it possible to use Foglio throughout an interior while keeping a consistent design.
